BHP Show @ Lydden Hill

This is the first ever car show to be held at Lydden Hill Circuit in Kent, and a first outing for the show too... We arrived feeling a bit apprehensive, as first outings usually leave us feeling let down? However on this occasion the sun was banging and the action looked great! We were proved wrong, and with a mix of Modified cars, Drifting and great track action this is one you don't want to miss next year....

Jay turned up in he's Ecosse kitted 308 along with some other members of  X2C, showing that they are there for every show.

Another car with X2C was Tony in he's 206cc, sporting some new colour coded rims... A show stopper again this year!

Chopper styled Mustang was a bit scary... But at least wins most original install...

This R33 GTR was wearing a one off wide arch kit from Rieger, and 12" wide rims... Mental!!

This Pug 106 showed just how clean your engine should be and with good use of colour coding had us dribbling!!

Back to the Old School.... This Pinto powered Anglia with Mexico arches rocked!!!

Driftworks won best engine bay with their Totota AE86 Twin cam, Smooth as you like....

As it was a show more about power... Unfortunately there wasn't many girls, but those that did appear showed off a treat!!

The off road lads even turned up to show off their mental trucks, a couple were even fitted with Rover V8 power... Respect guys you deserved the best stand award!!

The modified nationals car was there promoting, and even though it has huge power... It was left parked all day! Shame..

One car that didn't appear on track... Well half a lap!! Was this Arosa Cup car, the teenager was on his first ever lap. Ha Ha!

V8 super series Ford Escort Mk1 was the Daddy of cars and had a 10" arch extension... Porn in every sense!

Not everybody got it right at the challenging Lydden Hill circuit, and the gravel done it's job on more than one occasion...

Supercharged Honda Prelude had almost 700 bhp and ripped the tarmac up with a crazy high revved boom...

Rocket Ron Kidell attended with 3 massive cars... RK Tuning really do still have it!! And their cars are proof this year..

In between the track sessions the drifters came out to play, and for most of the time drifted the circuit not just a couple of corners... We'll show the Japs!!

Of course the Essex lads made a show... Ragging a couple of 400 bhp Cossie's about!!

The two guys from Japcars4u.com had a right go at each other, with Steve out driving the 700bhp Advan Evo in a 350 bhp R32 GTR that is for sale..

This is pure Cossie powered track slag at it's best in a Mk1 Escort shell...!

One expensive day was had at JDM Racing... When their R34 GTR Drift car caught on fire!!

Driftworks PS13 Silvia has it sorted, and can hang with the big boys...

It wasn't just race cars hitting the track... This mint R33 GTR was showing why the owner bought it..!

Mark Luney of SVA Imports came for a drift, not surprising as they are based just down the road in folkstone!

One really nice thing to see was the variety taking to the track.. From Skyline's right up to Volvo estates and a Rover 214 cabriolets... It was all there and shaming!!

This proved to be a great day out for everybody and it certainly lived up to expectations... Next year should be fun!!
